CITYCOT University Student Association Election
The student association election at CITYCOT University was recently concluded with the announcement of the results by the student election commission. The election, which took place on Tuesday at the new campus, saw three candidates from different student parties vying for positions. Following the casting of ballots by student council representatives, Mr. Isxaaq Dalbooni, who chaired the student election commission, revealed the elected members in a brief ceremony held at the main campus.
Mohamed Abdiaziz Mohamud, a first-year Computer Science student, emerged as the Chairman of CITYCOT University’s Student Association for the academic year 2023-2024. He secured 219 votes, defeating his opponents 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐝(𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠) with 133 votes and 𝐀𝐛𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐌𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐚𝐧(𝐣𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐫) with 101 votes.
Eng. Abdihakim Hussein, the Rector of CITYCOT University, congratulated the newly elected student leaders of the union, emphasizing the importance of the student association in fostering student leadership and developing skills that are beneficial for future career prospects.
