ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND CARE

The students of the Faculty of Natural Resources, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Marine Science at CITYCOT University have conducted an environmental initiative focused on restoring and preserving the Mangrove ecosystem.

The Mangrove tree plays a vital role in the environment, providing shelter for marine life, serving as a source of food for some species, and protecting coastal areas from erosion. Without careful preservation of these trees and their surrounding environment, many species that depend on them may face significant threats.

In response, the Faculty of Natural Resources, together with the students, planted a significant number of Mangrove trees in Jaanka Qaw. The faculty plans to further expand efforts to conserve and protect these essential trees.

This initiative is part of CITYCOT University’s commitment to environmental restoration and beautification, in collaboration with the local government of Bosaso.
