Description:

The CITYCOT University is currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Programming Lecturer. This role involves teaching programming courses to University students and fostering their knowledge and skills in various programming languages and concepts. The Programming Lecturer will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment to help students develop a solid foundation in programming principles.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Conducting lectures, classes, and practical sessions on programming languages and software development methodologies.
  • Developing course outline and instructional materials for programming courses.
  • Evaluating and assessing students’ performance through assignments, projects, and examinations.
  • Providing timely feedback and guidance to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Mentoring and assisting students in their programming projects and assignments.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Collaborating with other faculty members to enhance the overall quality of the programming course.
  • Participating in departmental meetings, workshops, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or any other related fields.
  • Strong expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or others relevant to the curriculum.
  • Demonstrated teaching experience in programming courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex programming concepts to students.
  • Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that accommodates diverse student backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assist students in resolving programming challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex programming concepts and engage students in the learning process.
